BlackBerry Bold 9780

Blackberry Bold 9780 is the upgraded version of the more familiar Bold 9700. The Bold 9780 supports HSDPA, 3G+, GPRS and Edge technology and also features GPS support. The phone has a typical blackberry look on the front side with a full QWERTY keypad and an optical trackpad in the centre.
The Blackberry 9780 has a 2.44 inch TFT 65K colour display with a resolution of 480 x 360 pixels. The phone has physical dimensions 109 x 60 x 14 mm and weighs 122 grams. The Blackberry Bold 9780 has a matte chassis and a leatherette backing which gives it a pleasant look and fits firmly in hand. The look of Bold 9780 is much similar to its predecessor Bold 9700 and can be considered as a neat and compact Blackberry device.
The Bold 9780 uses Blackberry OS 6 which was earlier seen in the Blackberry Torch 9800. Bold 9780 is the only non touch device to use the Blackberry OS 6. This is the latest from Blackberry and has some additional features compared to earlier OS like the new WebKit browser which features tabbed browsing and gives a smooth browsing experience.
The Blackberry 9780 features a 5 MP camera with autofocus and LED flash. The camera interface is similar to Torch 9800 and has eleven modes for capturing images. These different modes allow user to capture images in different conditions. The video camera on the other hand is a bit disappointing but sufficient enough for playback on phone itself.
The Blackberry Bold 9780 has a powerful battery with standby time of 528 h and 408 h for 2G and 3G networks respectively. Also its battery has a talk time of 6h in both 2G and 3G networks. At the end we would say that if you use a Smartphone mainly for messaging, emailing and social networking then the Blackberry Bold 9780 is the One.
